Aileen was always bigger than her friends, but it wasn’t until college that she put on a significant amount of weight and decided to try her first diet. This began her eight-year quest to lose weight with dieting.
Aileen was able to lose weight and keep it off for several years. When the pandemic hit in 2020, teaching became remote, which led to a stressful time. She found herself turning to food for comfort, and quickly gained 10 pounds. Aileen decided to restrict the time she ate, and found IF by Googling ‘time restricted eating.’ She found the IF Stories Podcast, and learned about the clean fast. She also read The Obesity Code, and did her own 30 Day Challenge of 16:8. Aileen lost the 10 pounds, and went on to lose another 7 pounds.
She loves the freedom that IF brings, and freedom from the scale! Instead of turning to food for comfort, Aileen now deals with her emotions.
Aileen’s advice: “Trust the process! Lean into it. Make sure you’re fasting clean. Take before pictures.”
